R&D project “OOKULO”

With the new measurement system we will, as the esparanto name for “eye” suggests, cast another eye on high-precision measurements in the deep sea. The double “O” in the name symbolizes a pair of eyes and make clear that we want to image three-dimensional resolution with the new system where currently only two-dimensional images are possible.
The development of innovative deep-sea devices has been a tradition at K.U.M. for more than 20 years. With “OOKULO” a project is being realized that could not have been realized without the support of the “Regional Economic Programme”.
